About Cincinnati USA Brew Ha-HaFifty comedians, Sixty Beers, One Million Laughs!
During the last weekend of August, Sawyer Point will be the ultimate gathering place for Cincinnati USA's newest and latest festival event, Brew Ha Ha. Patrick Sheeran, VP of The Downtown Council at the Chamber, recognizes the originality of the event by explaining, "To our knowledge, this is the first beer and comedy festival of its kind." Funny Bone has been involved with securing the headlining comedians Heywood Banks and Tom Mabe for the event. Both have appeared on Comedy Central Presents and have been guests on The Bob and Tom Radio Show. There will also be a house band for each day of the event, with Big Whiskey performing Friday and Ricky Nye and the Swingin' Mudbugs performing Saturday. Brew Ha Ha takes place on Friday, August 24, 2007, 5 p.m.-midnight and Saturday, August 25, 2007, 4 p.m.-midnight. According to Sheeran, "Cincinnati has a proud brewing history and this event pays tribute to it." Don't miss out on this opportunity to sample the many varieties of beers - from ales to lagers and pilsners to stouts - plus food, music and of course the constant flow of live comedians on three separate stages! The event will be held on three stages: the P&G Pavilion at Sawyer Point and two tented stages: The Tent and The Other Tent for more intimate venues. Headliners Mabe and Banks will appear on the P&G Pavilion stage. The full schedule of participating comedians is here. Food vendors also will be on site. Admission to Brew Ha-Ha is free except for those who want to sample the beers. Wristbands for alcoholic beverages will be $10 and include as a bonus 10 small samples of beers of a patron's choosing. Beer patrons may combine their samples for a full serving of a select brand. Presented by Please note: Pets, (unless used for handicap assistance), bikes, skateboards, rollerblades, poles and sticks are prohibited in the event site during operating hours. No coolers, bottles, cans, alcoholic beverages or weapons can be brought into the event site.
